The Vacation Fund is an additional source of income for our members. It gives you income protection so that you can take time away from work without a loss of income. You’re eligible to participate in the Vacation Fund if your employer is required to contribute to the Vacation Fund on your behalf.

How It Works

When you become eligible to participate in the Vacation Fund, an individual vacation account is automatically set up for you.

Your employer contributes to your individual vacation account for every hour you work in covered employment. Your union negotiates the amount of this contribution with your employer. Check your collective bargaining agreement for details.


The Fund distributes payments from the Vacation Fund to you in May and November of each year. Before you take time away from work, verify with Zenith American Solutions that you have enough hours in your hour bank to continue coverage through the Health Fund.
